Blog 15:Reflection

The first thing I thought to myself when I first stepped into class was “Damn it’s so quiet in this class I’m not going to talk to anyone”. Based on how college looks like in movies, I thought everyone was going to stick to their selves, keep their mouths shut and be respectful to others. The first few minutes in class of my first day of college were very awkward. The professor hadn’t got to class yet and everyone in class was quietly waiting for him/her for about 30 minutes. When the professor finally got to class, it immediately knew I was going to have a great time here. I started to feel comfortable around the students and the mass media professor especially of his hilarious comments. As my comfort zone rose day by day I broke out of my shell and realized I got to be more talkative and cooperative.  So I did, and successfully became friendly and intellectual with most of the students. Specifically in this class ENG 103 in comparison with the others, I learned way more and conversed more in this class. The thing about Eng 103 is that Dr. Luke gives us students assignments which help us interact with each other. Even though I have to admit it was annoying at the beginning I started to realize the point of the assignments and it actually did help the students interact with one another.
As for the essay assignments where we have to do in class, that really got annoying and stressful at times. Although it did help me mentally and help me talk more to students. For instance when I’m having a little trouble on a essay assignment I ask other classmates to help and in fact they do. It might not always be verbally but they always find a way to help me, for example when I get stuck on assignments I read and study how other students wrote their assignments and I sort of in a way take their techniques and use it for my essays. As funny as it sounds it helped me go through hard assignments.

My younger friends sometimes ask me all these types of questions about college such as “is college hard? Is it fun? Is it a lot of work? And I came down to a decision that college is comparable to high school only difference is more work

                                    The taking of Pelham 123

The movie “the taking of Pelham 123” depicts life in New York City both at the time it was filmed at and at the time their story takes place. The stance of the movie took toward the social, political, and economic reality of the time and it was portrayed in a realistic way. The movie was filmed in the mid 1970’s, just around the time where many phenomenal events occurred. The 1970’s was in a very unstable historical time, situations going on from the stagflation economic crisis to Wars. The economy at the time was in a horrible state and it truly affected New York City.

President Jimmy Carter was in office at the time and tried to combat economic weakness and unemployment. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to recuperate the economy, instead he worsened it. According to (stagflation in the 1970’s) it seemed as if inflation was literally feeding off itself. Demand pushed the prices up resulting to demand on higher wages which pushed prices to go even higher. The government literally had to reach their last resort which was to peg payments, such as those for Social Security, causing the best force to the economy. Meanwhile the government was helping the workers and retirees were coping with the situation, inflation was still continuing. Eventually the budget deficit reached rock bottom when the government proceeded to lending funds and led to more government borrowing. Inflation then escalated to higher interest rates, increased cost for businesses and consumers even further. Unemployment escalated even higher and became a serious issue. According to the Unemployment Rate graph from 1970-1979 the unemployment percentile went on an upward direction. In the year of 1970 the percentile was at 4.0 but in the year of 1975 it increased to a 9.0. Lastly in 1979 the percentile decreased to a 5.5. Every state in the U.S was obviously affected with economic issues but New York City had it more difficult. Mayor Abraham Beame was in administration and during his time being mayor he did nothing but deal with economic issues. New York City had very much tension going on, not only with the inflation but with social issues.

In the 70’s crime rates in New York City were extremely high which essentially became infamous and notorious. Many types of crimes were going on such as robbery, assault, murder, vandalism, abusiveness, exhibitionism.  Till this day, crimes occur every day in New York City. According to the New York Crime statistics there is more violent crime than property crime. The chart shows all the possible crimes in New York City and it seems like Larceny/ Theft are above everything else. Larceny/ Theft have an estimate of 124,846 on the statistics chart. Violence was obviously a major issue in New York. Crimes were so extreme in New York that there are more regulations in the state than any other. The movie “The taking of Pelham one two three” was filmed in Brooklyn, New York, a borough in New York, unfortunately considered one of the most high rated crime boroughs. According to the violent crimes statistics in NY, Brooklyn was rated the second highest crime rated borough in New York City, the rates for murder are 9.6, for rape 22.6, and for robbery 351.3 making it the worst.

The taking of Pelham 123 bases essentially on a subway car that travels around the borough of Brooklyn, New York .In New York, public transit transportation is considered a major requirement to get around places. Train stations are definitely considered a necessity in New York; many people depend on them to get around. According to the movie the New York subway system ranked the largest in the world, with 7000 cars and 237 mileage of track. Without subway transportation New York would be a wreck and it would totally be a difficult task to travel around. The negative side on subway transportation isn’t as safe as it is. Obviously seen in the movie,
Subway trains aren’t the safest transportation but as well in real life. In 1991 there was a report that a train crashed in New York making it the biggest subway crash in history. According to an article on the internet “The motorman, Robert Ray, who was drunk and going more than 40 mph where the speed limit was 10 mph, is later convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 15 years in prison”. That just goes to show that nothing in the world is safe and dependable including NY Subway trains, and that crimes can also be committed by not only criminals, but by regular human beings.

New York’s population in the 70’s rose double the time than in the 60’s. By the year of 1970 the total population rose to 18,236,951. According to the statistics of the Census chart of 1970, New York was more populated with more women than men. Women had a percentile of 52.2 and the men had a percentile of 47.8. The foreign-born population reached a percentile of 40.7 making it such a rapid change since the 60’s. The financial life at the time was at a falling and rising flow. According to the 1970 economy/prices statistics, the life expectancy was 70.8 years. The U.S budget ran deficits throughout the years of 1970. The federal spending reached about $195.65 billion making the federal debt to be $380.9 billion. Prices of food, living, and other accessories were at low values. Prices such as for a new home would cost $26,000. In the present decade a average cost for a new home would be around. The prices for a new car would change dramatically, most of the time it remained vast. The average cost for a median household income remained at 8,734.00. The cost of a first-class stamp was as cheap as 0.06 cents. Gas at the time was very cheap; it would be about 0.36 cents for a gallon of regular gas. A dozen of eggs were also very cheap costing about 0.62 cents. Lastly, the cost of milk reached only about $1.15. The financial difference between the present decade and the 70’s is that demand was at a different range. The demand on prices were higher than they are now, resulting to demand on higher wages.

There was extreme tension going on in the 70’s, such as politics and wars. Many altercations in the U.S were occurring, such as the Cold War, involving the ultimate competition “Space Race”. Another political altercation that occurred in the 70’s was with President Nixon and the Watergate Scandal. The Watergate complex was a governmental spot of 5 buildings in Washington D.C Richard Nixon became president in the early 1970’s and in his last 2 years of office he was accused of a scandal which he had no intention of even being a part of it. The scandal was established by a group of 5 men who attempted to intercept telephones and other communication. The reason the president was involved was that he had many tape recordings and people found it very suspicious that he had them and never revealed it to the public.

The Taking of Pelham 123 was an ultimate NYC film because it had a great representation and depiction of the ways New York is in actuality. The way director Joseph Sargent depicted New York in the movie basically as an insular, moody, dangerous, cynical city. Pelham 123 is a specific train in New York that goes through the bounds of Brooklyn. A reconstruction of the Transit Authority control center was built on a soundstage. The basics the movie is about a group of 4 armed men who decide to hijack the Pelham 123 train and held hostage a group of 17 passengers for 1,000,000. Main character Mr. Blue who is one of the main hijackers and does all the controlling, demands the 1,000,000 million dollars to received to them in less than an hour otherwise they would kill all 17 passengers in the train. For each minute they don’t have the money they would start killing one passenger.

The suspense throughout the movie makes the movie just spectacular and in fact catches the viewer’s attention. After the New York transit police receive the news they immediately send the news to the mayor of the city. The mayor in the movie is portrayed in a strange manner. In one scene of the movie the mayor is laying down on his bed with a very lazy look and the movie gives the viewers the intention of him that he doesn’t seem like to care for the city. The mayor plays a role of the very opposite of what a real mayor should be like. Once the mayor receives the news of the hijackers, he decides to pay the ransom. An in instant the situations of the ransom money just come up and make it even harder to cope with it, especially since they have only an hour to do everything. In less than an hour they have to (a) the mayor must convene his staff, (b) they must decide if the city should pay (NYC is bankrupt), then after agreeing to the terms, (c) they must count the money in non-sequenced $20 bills, and (d) transport the ransom money across town with a police escort. The time limit in the movie causes even more dramatic tension throughout the film. Once the hijackers received the money that instantly go with their escape plan and it was the very opposite of what everybody else thought. Since the train still showed that it was in motion the service workers assumed that the hijackers continued to stay in the train but they basically tricked them.  Once they are at the exit everything just turns upside down. Unfortunately none of the 4 hijackers get away with the money and that’s what made the movie classic but because the “bad people” never get away with what they do.

The stance of the movie really depicted toward the reality of the city. The basic fact that the movie is based on crimes such as hijacking points toward the reality of the city in many ways. Hijacking a subway car sets a perfect NYC setting, especially since hijacking was the main grotesque of crime rate. According to an (hijack in New York) reference, a very famous incident that dealt with hijacking were the Dawson’s field hijackings in New York City. The EL AL Flight 219 hijacking incident was one of the worst in history. The plane had 148 passengers and 10 crew members aboard. The hijacking involved high armed men just like the movie. The difference between the hijacking of the train in the movie and the hijacking of the plane is that there were more passengers in the plane and it was a higher chance of deaths. According to an article on the web, “The 1974 movie capitalized on the national skittishness over plane hijackings to Cuba”. There were various hijackings to Cuba and some of them were successful and obviously unsuccessful. In 1974 a Venezuelan man from New York successfully hijacks a plane from New York to Cuba. Even though back in the day hijackers mostly focused on hijacking planes, the movie did not specifically base it on plane hijacking. There were many other hijack attempts in the 1970’s especially and most of them aimed for Cuba. The unique thing about the movie is the simple fact of the train hijacking, hi-jacking a train is something people would least expect.

The movie shows an accurate picture of how New York really is and how the City people are like no other. The definition of a “New Yorker” is portrayed in the movie as pure craziness, and unjustified individuals. Technically the New York attitude isn’t portrayed so much toward the positive side. However the political and social part of the movie shown is exactly how it is in New York.  The scene where the chief of the transit police department shows the 4 Japanese directors of the Japan transit subways around the place, the director  clearly shows the New York transit workers as lazy people and don’t seem to take their jobs very seriously. In one scene the chief asks operation lieutenant to tell the Japanese directors what is new in the subway system and the operation lieutenant replies with a ridiculous answer. The service workers in the movie act in a very unprofessional manner. The point that was trying to be made was that the Japanese transit workers are more professional than the New York transit workers. The simple fact director Joseph Sargent shows the “New Yorker” way as craziness truly did serve the theme of the movie. The way the citizens reacted to the hijacking incident was so dull. It seems like since they’re so busy into their lives they find the incident to be unimportant and act careless towards it. Attitude also gives another representation in the movie. Throughout the whole movie every character had at least some sort of awful attitude toward one another. The scenes that had the most attitudes were the ones where character Mr. Blue would talk into the intercom with the Chief. Every time Mr. Blue would talk through the intercom he would speak with so much emphasize and intimidation to get his point across about the ransom money.

The plot of the movie was if the ransom money would be acknowledged to the hijackers or not in less than an hour or not. The job was clearly left to the police because it is their objective. The main object for the police is to protect and to get back the passengers safely. In the movie and in reality the police department do their part good and most of the time they achieve their goals which are to protect citizens and enforce the law. The NYPD in general is the greatest and the largest municipal force in the entire United States. There are many types of police specialized services such as harbor patrol, bomb disposal, counter-terrorism, public transportation. The average salary for a cop is between $35,881 to about $41,975.  Salary depends on the level rank you are rated in the department. Such as police officer, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, 3 types of chief, and lastly the main chief of the department. In the movie and in reality the police have a relevant reputation of success. In the movie the police took quick action to the incident and did whatever necessary to hand in the money to the hijackers on time. Technically there are no differences with how New York is portrayed in the movie and in reality.

The taking of Pelham 123 is a phenomenal movie, although it gives a bad reputation for “New Yorkers”. New Yorkers in the movie are portrayed in a horrible manner and it especially made it seem like there are always crimes going on in New York. New York in the 70’s had the reputation of a Cruel, unsafe, hateful environment. Despite all the facts that the movie demonstrate of New York, the conflict of the movie is spectacular and the setting the director chose was a spectacular idea.

The taking of Pelham 123
The movie “the taking of Pelham 123” truly depicts life in New York City both at the time it was filmed at and at the time their story takes place. The stance of the movie took toward the social, political, and economic reality of the time and it was portrayed in an realistic way. Violence in New York is a major issue and most of it is shown by Rival Gangs. Gangs in New York commit the most dangerous and crucial crimes. Crimes are so extreme in New York that there are more regulations in the state than any other. The movie The taking of Pelham one two three was filmed in Brooklyn, New York, a borough in New York  that is unfortunately considered one of the most high rated crime borough. New York is broken up into 5 different boroughs which are Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island, and the main city Manhattan. Out of all the boroughs the Bronx is considered the most dangerous. According to the violent crime in the Bronx chart, the rates for murder are 9.6, for rape is 22.6, and for robbery is 351.3 making it the worst. Brooklyn was rated the second highest crime rated borough in New York City.

That just goes to show that nothing in the world is safe and dependable, and that crimes can also be committed by not only criminals, but regular human beings.
New York’s population in the 70’s rose and rose, immigrants especially had an impact on the expansion of population. By the year of 1970 the total population rose to 18,236,951. There was extreme tension going on in the 70’s, such as politics and wars. The times of the 70’s were just in the middle of the time when the Cold war was happening. There were many other wars as well such as the Vietnam War, Soviet War in Afghanistan, Angolan Civil War. The altercation was mostly between the U.S. and the Soviet Union (Russia). Military action was involved in the War although it was necessarily clashed directly; they mostly expressed their anger over military coalitions. The war got so tense that they reached a higher level and decided to have a competition. The competition was called the “Space Race” and basically it was a competition for supremacy in outer space exploration. It was a race between the Soviet Union and the U.S involving who would get the first human to land on the moon. The reason for the competition was to see which country had the best scientific and technological superiority. Unfortunately the U.S. beat the race and won their triumph when they got their first man to land on the moon. Another political altercation that occurred in the 70’s was with President Nixon and the Watergate Scandal. Blog 13:Minority report response

The movie Minority Report shows a futuristic world where crimes and criminals don’t exist. The perfect utopian world set in the year of 2054 A.D. where harm is clearly a disturbance. The way everything is protected and secured is by 3 genetically altered humans called the “Precogs” with special powers that allow them to see the future and predict any crimes beforehand. The issue with the development of such a futuristic utopian world is that privacy will no longer be. To be able to see into the future and out of the ordinary just predict a regular innocent person to be suspect of a crime is totally absurd. Society would be in total chaos all the time and would cause a disturbance, especially to those who are accuse a suspect of a crime they haven’t even committed. It would definitely be a crucial change in society.
In a world like this would in my opinion be a dystopian world and totally a horrible state of regression. We as humans have our own right to do anything we wish and say anything we want according to the first amendments of freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Privacy in my opinion is very important and to have that taken away is just preposterous. There are many personal things us humans need and have to do such as sex, urinate, shower, etc. I do believe that there is an extent to privacy such as murdering, crimes and that’s where we need to be secured. There is so many other ways to do that other than the utopian ideal to just be able to predict and accuse people for doing something they haven’t done.
A specific way would be to have more security on every avenue, more cameras, detectives, patrolmen to patrol areas in the night.  As much as people don’t like the idea, it is definitely the right thing to do and it’ll build better and safer communities. The system is not always perfect but what is perfect in life? We were just created that way and everything and everyone are equal so there shouldn’t be a reason why the system should be different. The idea of a utopian world just doesn’t appeal to me and just isn’t such a wonderful idea. If I would have to choose between 2 worlds, one where everything is secured how it is in the movie, and the other which is how it is realistically, I would choose the realistically way.

During my visit to the museum of the moving image, I was very amazed and entertained in learning about most topics and had me very interested in many moments. The first thing that I saw at the museum was the magazines and the creation of star trek. The first real amazing thing that caught my eye was the first game invented in history which is ping pong. It was the first game ever created and it had many people fascinated mainly because it was a indoors game and it dealt with hand movement. The next thing we saw at the museum was the first Hollywood actors in history and had many amazing pictures that showed the attitude and emotions of the actor’s facial features. I found it pretty interesting because I am very much interested in movies and actors.

One of the most famous world wide websites in the 21 century that gets estimated about 10 billion visits monthly is Youtube.com. YouTube is a very famous video-sharing website on which users upload, share, and view videos. The best thing about YouTube is that they don’t only have the language In English they have all the languages known to mankind. How YouTube works in other words to be able to see videos you need a program called Adobe Flash Player. With out it wouldn’t be able to see videos and YouTube wouldn’t have its fame. It wasn’t always a famous website matter of fact it was not to far ago from when its fame became to be. It was first seen on the web in February 2005 and according to the media the founders were these three employees of PayPal. The names of these three employees were Chad Hurley, Steven Chen, and Jawed Kari. According to the media these 3 fellows developed this idea (YouTube) because one night they were at a dinner party in San Francisco and they shot a few videos and wanted to share them to others but they were having difficulty doing that. Because of their intelligent idea YouTube’s fame became what it is today.
There are so many types of videos that can be watched online such as entertainment, sports, comedy, music, and many more. Any video that a person desires to watch is on there and anybody can watch them at any time. As the years go by YouTube updates more and more. For example the recent update that came out is that once you see a video on YouTube the next time you go on it again it gives you videos recommendations based on what videos were playing before. One of the most interesting things about YouTube is that anyone and can make a plain video and post it up on the web.  Just like everything in life there are limitations and in this case content is a very cautious viewpoint. Videos that have high content can be very dangerous to the youth because if they get exposed to things such as violence they might change personally and mentally. That’s why for some videos that have high content YouTube asks to verify yourself if you are 18 years or older. Even so people still manage to find their own way to see high content videos and that’s why they tried to ban YouTube from the web. In the year 2006 around the fall there has been many situations with violent videos being exposed on the web and the politicians in the U.K sought violence on YouTube an extreme issue. One video in particular which was considered the most violent on YouTube showed a man being kicked in the face until he lost consciousness. According to the U.K ministers sought those types of videos to be “Fuel random acts of violence”. The U.K politicians believed that the YouTube censors should really take more responsibility in those kinds of clips on the web. At the end it was decided that the government had no reason to take action in that situation. This meaning that censorship till this day remains a problem. Situations like this can clearly be solved by the police. Another video that was posted in the spring time which also depicted upon the problem on violence turned out to be a big crime investigation.  6 teenage girls Florida were accused of beating up a 16-year-old girl and recording the whole thing with the intention of putting it up on YouTube. This incident was actually really major in the media because once the video was released to the police, they caught the 6 victims and their parents were interviewed and the 6 victims were taken to court. The worst part of the attack is people were amateurishly re-enacting the attack for humor and posting it on YouTube.  The story became so involved in the media it got some commentators to pin the blame of the incident on YouTube itself even though it was a preposterous way of thinking.
During the election of presidency between John McCain and Barrack Obama YouTube became a very useful technique for the both campaigns. This was the first presidential campaign of the YouTube era. According to Larry Greenemeier Barack Obama’s campaign was making way more success than John McCain’s.  The reason why is because Obama unfortunately was first to use the web as a campaign tool. Obama’s site supposedly had more text and had more extensive archive of Obama’s speeches. In fact Obama’s speeches had more words then what McCain used in his speeches. Obama also had twice as many videos posted on his official YouTube channel. Obama used YouTube to his advantage and it gave him way more power than McCain so it gave him more popularity and gave his campaign more potential. The YouTube era made such an impact on society and the campaigns that the candidates had to be careful with every word and action they make because it would be recorded. Whether it was recorded professionally or amateurishly every time the candidates would be in the public they would be recorded and would give an analysis by reporters and political bloggers. The candidates also had to be careful if they are being to repetitive in what they say and do. It was sure to say that for the candidates it was very competitive because of YouTube.
Another great social impact YouTube has done on society is making people into celebrities. On YouTube there are many internet celebrities that have attracted a lot of publicity. The most famous subscribed internet celebrity on YouTube is Ryan Higa. Ryan Higa is a Japanese-American comedian got his fame on YouTube with his comedian acts. Ryan Higa first used to make videos with this friend from Hawaii of them lip synching songs in the year of 2006. Then in the year of 2008 Ryan Higa came out with 2 amazing videos called “How to be Gangster” and “How to be Emo”. The 2 videos got millions of view and the 2 videos were unfortunately removed due to copyright violations. In the month of August 2009 the videos were posted back up. Most of the videos that Ryan Higa posted up on YouTube have had problems due to copyright violations. Even though they had their copyright issues they still managed to get millions of views. According to their popularity chart in the month of November their videos had been viewed over 150 million times. They were ranked 2nd most subscribed channel on the month of May 10, 2009. About a month later Ryan Higa surpassed 2 million subscribers, making it the 1 person to do that in YouTube history. Another artist who became famous on YouTube and is even famous till this day is Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber was first found on YouTube by a man named Scooter Braun who then became his manager. Every time Justin Beiber would perform in singing competition his mom would record it on video and she would post it up on YouTube. It was obvious that his singing got so popular on the web; he got so many views on many of his performances in his videos. Justin Bieber then signed a record label with R&B singer Usher and became a very famous teenage Pop and R&B singer himself.
Every website on the web has its positives and negatives. YouTube unfortunately has its negatives. It has been said on the web that if you type in YouTube.com it takes you to a website that congratulates you and says you have won an accessory. The offer is obviously a scam and all they want to do is just take your money, or if they do send a prize it’ll be something that you not expect. Basically what the scammers are good at is taking your money by making you pays fees. What the scammers usually do is ask for your number and they send you message so you can “claim your prize”. It is very dangerous to sing up for things you’re not accustomed to and most likely they can be a fake.  Even till this day if you try to attempt to get on YouTube it can take you to that false advertisement and it has been a problem. The problem with this scam on YouTube is that if young children happen to get into the website and they see the offer they might want to sign up since the website looks legit and it can ruin them.
YouTube has done such a major job and has gotten so much attention on the web that Google decided to make a deal with YouTube. This had made a big change to YouTube and was a great achievement for the owners Chad and Steven. Reason why is because Google is rated most visited website worldwide. Google made a deal with YouTube for 1.65 billion dollars and YouTube obviously did not ignore the tremendous offer. So till this day YouTube is technically owned by Google. Since Google owns YouTube they have doubled the views on Google. According to Msnbc.com “Google is betting that the popular video-sharing site will provide it an increasingly lucrative marketing hub as more viewers migrate from television to the Internet”. It would actually be a next step in evolution of the Internet. Although Google owns the company they left the name as it is “YouTube” and also left all the employees to work there including the finders of YouTube Chad Hurley and Steve Chen.
YouTube has many partnerships on the web such as Universal Music Group, CBS Corp, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group Inc. YouTube main goal is to help video creators make money online. According to YouTube’s biz blog 2009 was their best year yet. Shows and movies on the web have had great success on YouTube. Especially because the videos that are full-length, such as Ghostbusters, Taxi driver, Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the Spaghetti Western Trilogy. Another big achievement on YouTube is that the user partners are making over a thousand dollars a month on YouTube. A famous user named Fred has the most views in the entire population of the U.S. Companies on the web such as Demand Media, Machinima and Mondo Media and according to YouTube’s Big Blog “Demand Media, Machinima and Mondo Media have a loyal following on YouTube and have set them apart as the “New Media Powerhouses” of the future through their forward-thinking acquisition and distribution strategy. One the most famous funniest video on YouTube is “David after dentist” that was actually generated over $30K for the up loader. The video actually got fame for the Dr fresh Company; they got the chance to promote the “firefly toothbrush”. Earlier of this year 2010 there have been many outside land festivals in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. One famous day was the WORLD AIDS DAY which was performed by singer Alicia Keys. According to YouTube Biz Blog the concert racked up a total of 10mm streams, making it the most successful live-streaming event in YouTube history.” French producer and director Luc Besson had a great impact on YouTube. He came out with an amazing film called “Home” which on YouTube went on to generate 7 million views in just 6 weeks. According to YouTube’s Big Blog over 1,000 partners are using YouTube’s copyrighted management technologies, also including every major U.S. network broadcaster, movie studio and record label and 50% of the partners prefer to monetize their content of YouTube which in fact turned out to be one of their biggest challenges. The most impressive thing that as occurred in YouTube was when Josh Raskin got an Award (Daytime Emmy for New Approaches). His reason for such a great achievement was his film called “I met the Walrus”. It was one of the first short films featured in the YouTube Screening Room and was fortunately a great film.
Making popularity on YouTube is not very hard at all. YouTube is basically on the same lines as Facebook or MySpace. In other words YouTube can easily be used as social networking. To get really known on YouTube you first need a good username and can be easily to read and a kind that can get a YouTuber’s   attention. It would be a great idea also to create a username that basically represents who you are as a person. The next step would be to create a logo for your username and make designs for your YouTube page so that it stands out. The most important thing is to get colors and designs that represent you. The next step is to interact with other YouTube users so that your username can get known faster. A great idea would also be to comment their pages just to show your respect and doing that will get them to most likely respond back. Next step is to post a really interesting video that has a really good quality, editing, and the video should have a good topic such as humor. Once a person watches a video that catches their attention they are most likely going to share it with friends and family so its best to make one that can grab the viewers attention. Another way to spread the video on the web is by simply tweet or post links of the video on Facebook so that people can be able to watch. They would also help to promote your video by sending it to their other friends. If your luck still hasn’t gotten there yet then the next best thing to do is advertise your YouTube channel. YouTube can actually help support you with your popularity by getting subscribers to support your YouTube channel. Getting towards the last step to making major fame on YouTube is to make sure to not include false copyrighted and distributions restrains such as music videos. Last but not least the final major idea to include in each and every video you upload is to start or/and end with your main logo to let the viewers know that it’s a representation of you. The two most important steps to making fame on YouTube is advertising and share videos with your friends and to make sure they’ll be willing to share videos to their friends.
YouTube has been around since 2004 but nowadays people are so accustomed of it that they feel as if it has been around forever. According to www.lovetoknow.com YouTube is ranked number 10th most visited website out of the 10. That being that Facebook is the number 1 ranked on the chart. What is very unique about YouTube is that it is popular with both adults and teens. So there shouldn’t be any doubt that one day YouTube becomes ranked number 1. YouTube today is already the top social media renovation of the decade. Co-finders Steve and Chad are have no doubt that YouTube will increase and increase. When they had the deal with Google they were just full with pride and excitement. They even made a video of the day they received the news. In the video Steve and Chad thanks the community for contributing to YouTube. An interesting thing they say in the video is that they promise to stay committing to developing the best service and tools and technology so we can enjoy the website even more. They always said in the video that’ll update the website with more innovated features. That saying that as long as YouTube gets updated with all these new tools and innovated features, YouTube will remain on top and maybe one day be considered the most visited website on the web.
